Seniors In Verse HTHE MIGHTY FIVEH Bobby Bird, who is so good at art, Decided he and his wife must part. She is suing for alimony 'Cause she found out Bob was a uphony.H Marvin Williams, that witty kid Of whom the girls will never be rid, Is still around painting the town, Turning on marriage a decided frown. Ida Mae Beman, that very tall miss,, Never would give a boy a kissC?D You'll find her now working hard With several kids playing in her back yard. Sally Denny, so cute and quiet, Really can create a riot. On motorcycles she likes to ride But yet there is no man at her side. Evelyn Shook, With talent galore, Planned to be a music teacher forevermore. Along came a boy and sealed her fate Now she haS kids, number -- eight. Marvin Williams, the guy with the grin, Seemed to think that studying was a sin. He lives on a farm and is very wealthy, His pigs and cows are always healthy. Sally Denny, who is so sweet, Has been noted for her little feet. She used to live on a farm down by the river Where the hoot owls hoot and the snakes quiver. Bobby Bird, that car-minded guy, Met a girl by the name of Fry. This all finally led to marriage And now he's wheeling a baby carriage. Evelyn Shook, the girl with the dreams Always had a certain boy in her schemes. Now she and her hubby are writing a book And she is learning to safely cook. Ida Mae Beman, that girl With the dreamy eyes, Couldn't make up her mind between two or three guys. She finally chose the one with the sickly grin, They now have ten children as next of kin. The Senior Class is very clever and alive, They have come to be known as HTHG Mighty Five.H We tried to make these poems funny, so we'll say HHope you split your sides,H from Evelyn and Ida Mae
