Cross Country Finishes Third The cross-country squad, under Dick Prentice, finished their regular sea- son, a re-building one, strong. The club finished third in quadrangular meets most of the season with fresh- man Paul Drake, a graduate of Reese High School leading the way. He took individual honors several times dur- ing the regular season but placed 26th in the Regional and missed qual- ifying for the Nationals. An interesting sidelight to the season was when Cindy Pacholke broke across the finish line in one of the club's first meets. She made history.
