A True Friend ls The Best Possession Friendships are displayed as we, the Charger Staff join together and try to catch some of the memories that you and your friends have shared during the 1977-'78 school year. We found that friendships play a very important role in the lives of all students at Delta C-'Y li 1 9.415 .1 A blessed thing it is for any man or woman to have a friend: who knows the best and worst of us, and who loves us in spite of all our faults: who will speak the honest truth to us, while the world flatters us to our face, and laughs at us behind our back: who will give us counsel and reproof in the day of prosperity and self- conceitg but who again, will comfort and encourage us in the day of difficulty and sorrow, when the world leaves us alone to fight our own battle as we can. Kinglsey 3 True Friendships Never Die -VN' As the seniors prepare for graduation, they find there are some things that will be left behind. But one important thing that will stay with them are the friendships that have been made during school. Some friendships may fade in the future, but it will always be a lasting part in the minds of the Seniors of 78. ll Don't eat too much, Cindy. i, This Page Sponsored by DON 8L LOUISE TIDWELL Rt. 1 Bragg City, Missouri '-1lQu l fix .gf--Q 41 Derenda still can't figure out he' bookkeeping' Come on Robert don'1 hit me. -.9-.- -. To be at senior is to realize that it is time to find ourselves, discover what life means to us, and attempt to prepare or what the future bestows upon us.' Many memories of the class of '78 will remain with them throughout life. For the first time they were forced to go to school on two Saturdays. They chose to go to St. Louis for their class trip, where the Arch and Six Flags were visited. The class was in total agreement of royal blue and light blue to represent their class colors. These colors were also worn at graduation, with the girls in light blue gowns and the boys in royal blue. As the class flower a baby chrysanthemum was chosen. The class motto is: Life is short and very uncertaing let us live it as best we can. The senior class has reached a high point in their lives. Their greatest appreciation goes out to everyone who has aided them in reaching this point. in Cindy thinks of herself as the ideal teacher QA Cindy Blaylock Debbie Britton Gary Callis .lf riffs 11,42 ' f X N41 Fiona flossev Tgimtnie Crow Roger Cuuunings ' i vi I I 8 J! -1? IUNIORS fd, 115,45 As the juniors are looking forward to their last year of high school, they must first accomplish the roll of a junior. They have many things to do and think about. Financing the Junior-Senior Prom is one . Raising money for the expenses of the prom came fairly easy for them, they set a goal of E52 , 500 on their magazines sale and surpassed that goal by almost S60 . Selling calendars and running the concession stand were also ways of raising money. During the Harvest Festival they helped the Seniors in running the cake walk.
