Beta Club is a national organization whose main objective is the promotion of the ideas of honesty, service and leadership among high school students. At all home ballgames this year a coatrack was set out at the door to all fans and the ads in them paid the expenses at the State Convention. Nineteen of the twenty members attended the Nineteenth Annual Missouri Beta Convention in St. Louis. The F.T .A . is an organization designed mainly for students who wish to go into the teaching profession. The mem- bers of F .T.A. teach one day per quarter each year. During that day they are given the experience of being with the children, helping them and actually taking over the job of teaching. These days and experiences may help the F. T.A . member decide whether or not teaching is the profession he wants. . Each year the F.T.A. issues two scholarships each in the amount of 35100.
