Girls' Soccer Ranked 13th in State ln the first year that DHS fielded a girls' soccer team, the team was ranked 13th in the Newark Star Ledger, 2nd in Bur- lington County, and seeded third in the South Section of N.l.S.l.A.A. State Tour- nament. ln the' competition, the girls' advanced to second round play. Lynne Raymond was the only girl from Burlington County to receive the recog- nition of second team honors in the All- Nl All-star voting. Lynne also received first team honors for Burlington County All-star Girls' Soccer, along with loan Yellin and Patti Zollner. Second team honors went to Lisa Dandrea, Beckie Novak, and Sue Rippey. Sue Ortlip, lun- ior goalkeeper, is credited with 6 shut- outs for the season. This new team which brought honors to DHS was coached by Carol Young.
