Anticipation Satisfied By Inspiration Makes ABSORBED IN DEEP concentration, the students in study hall give careful thought to tomorrow's assignment. A DAILY TASK of collecting attendance slips from the many classrooms is part of the work of office aid, Cathy Shonk. SILENT LOCKERS WAIT for the bell to bring the clammering, bustling halls back to life once more. Delphi Community High School is brought to life with sounds of chatter and laughter. Enthusiasm abounds with the spirit and vitality of the many stu- dents. During the course of the day, the students have sudden inspirations which lead to memorable and valu- able class discussions. Throughout the year, mutual bonds are fonned between the students of DCI-IS. Extracurricular activities are popular, yet the students do not attend school for that reason alone. They recog- nize that the true meaning of academic life is their ladder to success.

Foreign Exchange Introduces New Faces And TURKISH HANDCRAFTS HAVE opened new fields of interest to Amanda. TELLING ABOUT HER summer's sojourn in Turkey, -Amanda points out her second home on the globe. Amanda Mears spent last swnmer as an A.F.S. student from Delphi Community High School in Eskisehir, Turkey. During the two months she was there she lived with her newly adopted family and participated in many activities among which was a two-week vacation at the seashore. Her stay was a combination of enjoyment and experience. In shar- ing the unique customs and traditions of Turkey, she learned that though the life of the country was different from her own, that people are people, and understanding and brotherly love will bind them together.
