Mrs. Holmes, replacing Miss Bieber, joined Mr. Kent as our perm- anent sponsors . . . DECEMBER-got our class ringswnow to go steady!!! APRIL 1950-chose class motto- Take the world as it is, but leave it better . . . class sweaters arrived-Dark Green and White . . . selected Red Rose as class flower . . . APRIL 1951-started work on Prom . . . chose theme, Deep Purple . . . hired Bob Doran's nine-piece band from Lafayette . . . painted rock wall on cardboard . . . bor- rowed old streetlight with purple globe from city . . . MAY-Prom night . . . armory was beautiful . . . rock wall all around dance floor . . flower garden in one corner . . . wishing well in another . . . streetlight peering over wall . . . a real hit . ..
