Dedicaled +o our Lady under 'lhe lille of her Annuncialion, fhe presenl' church was buiil in l900, Reverend Pius Hemler having organized lhe parish in I899. A beaufiful school conducfed by lhe Sisiers of Sf. Joseph was solemnly blessed in l908 under fhe pas+ora'fe of Reverend L. Augusline Reudler. This building was com- plelely deslroyed by fire in I938. The presenf school building was erecfed in l940. The Annunciaiion of fhe Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, comprising 'the borough of McSherry+own, Brush+own, and ofher paris of Conewago Township, numbers 2700 souls, I50 of whom are enrolled in Delone Calholic High School.
