Father Lyons' Christmas message is always a joyful part of our assembly program. Here, Father addresses not only students, but parents as well, whom he invited this year to share our holiday spirit. '14 Gan-cflefcvl-0 ' fzelcfgamecfcg' Carols by Candlelight added a glorious spirit in this year's Christmas assembly. The age-old, yet ever loved carols, under direction of our Music Department, were sung and played by a selected group ol seniors and juniors. The con- cert band highlighted the occasion by beautiful holiday renditions. Lighted candles, too, provided a signihcant background for the Nativity tableau, as our Lady, St. joseph and the Shepherds welcomed our Savior, the Light of the World. Climaxing our assembly was the dramatic en- actment of Van Dyke's Our I.ady's Last Christ- mas, featuring St. John, guardian of our Lady, in the touching scene of her last Christmas on earth. F' fLeftj A background of glowing candles and fresh ever- greens enhances the beauty of the Nativity scene por trayed by Margaret Holtz as Blessed Mother, John Bren- ner as St. joseph and William Staub and Gerard Hemler as shepherds. fkightj Our Blessed Lady fMargaret Holtzj receives Holy Communion from St. john CCharles Greenholtj while Shepherd fGerard Hemlerj kneels in reverence.
