The Delhaas Joint School Board is re- sponsible for establishing the policies of edu- cation for the secondary schools of Bristol Township and Tullytown Borough In the performance of its duties this board repre sents the people of the area At their regular monthly meetings and at special meetings the board conducts business which includes re ports on the instructional program financial statements payment of bills discussion of questions from interested citizens em ployment of personnel and all other mat ters which arise concerning the school system Membership of the board con sists of seven representatives from Bris tol Township and five from Tullytown Borough Upon the shoulders of these twelve men rests the responsibility of constructing the framework of our educa tion BENJAMIN F STOCKFIT Meeting to decade about finances for the new schools of the area are left to ngbl Edvun N Popkm R Ralph Kasman Arthur B Rem holt james J A Gallagher james Kline and William Frantz members of the School Author The members of the Delhaas Joint School Board attend a regular meeting to discuss the problems of education Sealed are R Philemon Stout Dr Niels Haugaard Mrs Frances N Gauntt Benjamin F Stocketf jr Mrs Martha Kushlan and Calvin Morrison Standing are Louis C Souder Raymond A Jenkins William B M11 ler William Swangler Sidney Nechin and John W Densham Qwefapment C9 Um J Financing the school building program is the mam function of the School Authority Membership in this group consists of five citizens from Bristol Township who are ap pointed by the School Board Their term of office is five years and these terms are ar ranged so that a member is appointed each ear During the past few years the need for such a group has really been recogniz ed To accomodate our growing popula tion the Authority supervises the build ing of new schools Through their efforts the taxpayers are assured of the finest instructional facilities possible for their childrens educational development O J U 1 an official organization established in 1951.
