WON3 - LOST3 , v-4 The school can be justly proud of the spirit, enthusi- asm, and sportsmanship of its first 11-man football team. Twenty-seven boys turned out for the first practice and twenty-four boys were on the squad at the end of the season. This in itself, said Coach Marcantonio, made the yeara success regardless of the number of ball games won or lost. Coach Marcantonio was pleased with the play and progress of every boy on the team. Paul Boldt and John Weaver were voted as the two outstanding players by their team mates. The team will lose six seniors through graduation, but of the remaining eighteen, nine are sophomores and seven are freshmen. Coach Marcantonio singled out this year's seniors as the backbone of the team and hopes their effort and de- termination will lnsplre next year's team. He also had Thomas Johns Right Halfback high praises for Assistant Coach True for his work with the baclcfield.
