Mvisofs M' Bwwn' Delegates to the state F.F.A. convention at Wellsville, last spring, were thrilled at the announcement that Duane Dedrick, local and county F.F.A. president, had been awarded the coveted State Dairy Farmer award tor 1953. In addition, Duane won the State Dairymen's League award, and the Chapter won the Section award. In july, our chapter won the bi-county Dairy judging contest again. Our chapter placed second in state competition in the cooperative activities contest. In the fall, fair activities produced many blue ribbons for members and the chapter. The boys placed third in the annual achieve- ment contests at Portville. Trips to Kansas City to the National Convention, New York State Fair and Farmers' Week at Ithaca were enjoyed by various members during the year. The Father and Son banquet was very enjoyable with State President, Joe Martin, as our guest. 32
