Members of the Future Nurses' Club are girls from grades 9-12 who are sincerely in- terested in becoming nurses. Entrance re- quirements into schools of nursing have been discussed and simple nursing procedures demonstrated. An annual visit to a School of Nursing Open House has given the prospec- tive nurses a glimpse of real nursing life. Attractive silver and blue pins identify the group. Financial assistance will be given by the Club to any member entering a School of Nursing. Candidates for the National Honor Society are selected from those students of the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades who have a scholastic average of 8575 or better. Those candidates, who, in the opinion of the faculty and present members of the society, are considered out- standing in character, service to the school and community, and leadership qualities are then elected to membership. Once elected, a student remains a member as long as he con- tinues to maintain the high standards of scholarship, leadership, service and charac- ter.
