DEDICATION We, the members of the class of 1976, dedicate this yearbook to two of the most wonderful women we have come to know during our stay at Delaware Valley College. They have served us without question above and beyond the call of duty. Aside from performing their duties in the offices of Dean of Student ' s and Assistant Dean of Stu- dents, Mrs. Gloria Faaet and Mrs. Shirley Finnie have many times been the mother away from home all of us have needed at some time in our college career. Mrs. Gloria Faaet a mother of two children, graduated from Olney High School, Pierce Business School and the University of Pennsylvania where she was enrolled in a Supervisory Course in Handling o f Workers. She has been employed by companies such as Prudential Life Insurance, Metropolitan Life Insurance, Bucks County Bank and Trust and finally, has been employed here at Delaware Valley College for the past eight years in the Dean of Students Office. Mrs. Faaet is President of the Women ' s Society of the Chalfont Methodist Church where she is also a Sunday school teacher, and Cub Scout leader. She has also been active in the Cancer Society, Red Cross, and is Vice President of the Central Bucks P.T.A. Mrs. Shirley Finnie a mother of two children and a grandmother of three, graduated from Frankford High School, Temple University School of Business and the Charles Price School of Advertising and Journalism. Mrs. Finnie also received a degree from Drexel University in Mechanical Engineering. In the past, she has been em- ployed by Rohm and Haas, and was Secretary to the President of Pack-Rite Company. Mrs. Finnie has been quite active in several social and volunteer organizations including the American Red Cross, the Bucks County 4-H Program and is an active member of the United Methodist Church. Members of the Graduating Class of 1976: 1 will try not to use any mundane or meaningless words to thank you for the dedication of the 1976 Year- book. You have shown by this dedication great respect, appreciation, and affection for Mrs. Finnie and me. You, the Class of ' 76, have also gained our admiration, respect, and love. I cannot deny that you have been a demanding class. You demanded all available knowledge and honest answers to your questions. How- ever, you accepted your responsibilities willingly, and gave your talents and time to the functions of Student Government, club activities and even reached out to help the Doylestown community! ! As for my help, in whatever small way it may have been, I can only say that you were so like my own son and daughter that had I not shown you every consideration and walked an extra mile at times, then, surely, I would not only have failed you, but also my own children as well. We will miss you! Return to Delaware Valley College and enrich our lives with your accomplishments! Sincerely, (Mrs) Gloria Faaet, Secretary Dean of Students ' Office Members of the Class of 1976: Thank you for giving me the opportunity to wish you a life of accomplishment and personal fulfillment. It seems as if your stay at Delaware Valley College began only yesterday and now as you stand at the threshold of a new phase of life, I hope you will look back with fond memories. An education is many things! Your years at Delaware Valley College have been active ones, filled with opportunities to work, to learn, to explore, to question and, above all, to think independently in your drive for self-development. During the past four years, we watched you adjust. . .we saw you grow. . . and now we are confident each of you is ready to meet the new challenges of life in the true Aggie spirit. Best wishes in all your endeavors. Sincerely, rf?UAc 4J Shirley B. Finnie
