DEDICATION TO: Ned A. Linta The Class of 1969 would like to dedicate its yearbook, the Cornuco- pia, to Ned A. Linta, an individual who has dedicated himself to Dela- ware Valley College. As our athletic director, Ned has initiated and developed our inter- collegiate athletic program to such an extent that we have gained the respect and fear of other colleges and universities. This man has de- voted all of his efforts to one color — green and gold. We are proud to have the opportunity and pleasure to pay tribute, through our yearbook, to a man who has more than deserved it. Thank-you, Ned. 16

DELAWARE VALLEY COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND AGRICULTURE DOYLESTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA To Members of the Class of 1969 A few final words before you leave us as college men. An expression of the hope that you will be properly concerned with the good of your fellow man, with the welfare of our institution, and that you will become really involved in the many serious and vital things which are happening around you today. Too great emphasis is being placed upon personal rights and not enough on personal responsibilities. When so-called personal rights and so-called academic freedom are used as excuses for the happenings today in the streets and on the campuses, and, in fact, become synonymous with a lack of patriotism and a defianc of law and decency, then you who have had presented to you here teachings which I hope have instilled in you a sense of honor, a sense of duty, and a respect for discipline, have placed upon you a responsibility to become deeply involved in these happenings. Too many people, and I am afraid too many college administrators, have taken the easy road of non- involvement. You cannot take this road. You must work and work hard, within the law, for a better society for everyone, including the disadvantaged. That means involvement. Non -involvement should be a bad word to you, as it is to me. May God bless and keep you all, with a special prayer for those who step right from this campus to the Armed Forces. Sincerely,
”

DELAWARE VALLEY COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND AGRICULTURE DOYLESTOWN. PENNSYLVANIA March U, 1969 Class of 1969 As leaders of tomorrow you have completed four years of apprenticeship of life. You have grown sturdy as an oak tree and have matured from stripling to an embending tower of strength. Your growth, both mentally and physically is spontaneous in every expansion. Although the mind and body that grows could not predict the times, the means, or the mode of spontaneity. Cod enters by a private door into every individual ' s life. ReTnember your alma mater always, for it was here at Delaware Valley College that the process of your growth depended upon the vision and courage of those leaders who guided your untrained minds to a full realization of themselves and their duty in tomorrow ' s world. Your future and that of those that follow are contingent upon the conscientious devotion of such leaders to this responsibility. I am sure that the Class of ' 69 will be endowed with intense feeling of all your accomplishments, and you will continue your loyalty by giving your support to Delaware Valley College by dedicating yourselves to the many things which you may do for the benefit of those who follow you. I thank you for your warm respect and appreciation. I shall cherish your association as long as I may live. May you go through life in peace, in happiness, and in dignity. Sincerely, ? Ned A.
