FOOTBALL The close of the 1958 football season found the Lions untied and undefeated in their first year of interscholastic competition. Diligence and spirit again rewarded the team this year, allowing them to finish with an enviable record of seven wins and two losses. As a member of the newly formed Olympic Conference, the team remains undefeated and untied in league competition. Handicapped by a lack of size and plagued by injuries to key players, the 1959 football team did much to foster good sportsmanship. They were honored ot receive the Brooks Irvine Award for exhibiting outstanding sportsman- ship in South Iersey. This, our first varsity football team, was indeed one of which we may be justly proud. wa, Don Zimmerman smashes a Lenape We .
