In 1955 there was no band in Delaware Township High School. At the end of our first year, however. as a result of instrumental instruction, the band's first rehearsal present- ed an enrollment of fifty. By the end of the second year, with more instruments available for instruction, the enrollment increased to sixty-five members. In the next two years it grew to its present size of one hundred and twenty uniformed student musicians. The band entertains the student body at assemblies and at pep rallies, in addition to presenting an average of ten concerts per year to the public. The band's peak perform- ance is heard at the Annual Music Festival in the spring. During the football season the band prepares elaborate pre-game and half- time shows for everyone's enjoyment. mmr - - f-- vssmmme f, .....,.-, rewwwwttmwmnzmfummmsfwenwmf .fmuewm-.Ks -.sm
