We anticipate this effort of ours will be the first step in developing another tradition for Delaware State College. While we glow a little at our success, this feeling of well-being would not be with us if it had not been for the people who rallied around our cause to assist us. The person to whom we are most indebted is Dr. Wm. Anthony Gaines. It was he who undertook the task of guiding and directing what at first seemed almost like a lost cause. But his belief in it, and his never say die attitude was made for the successful flowering of a seed that had long been planted in our minds. Many others have contributed immeasurably to this publication, notably among which are Mrs. Isabelle Patterson whose facilities and advice were always ready for acceptance. Mrs. Harriette Jones will always be remembered for her ideas and personal help. Mr. Frederick Franklin gave us not only full access to his darkroom and other photographic facilities, but also his time until the wee hours of the morning. Mr. Joseph Grant spent many hours of his nights assisting in the darkroom and Mr. Walker permitted us to use the Audio-Visual Classroom as a studio. Miss Warren and Mrs. Mason per- mitted the young ladies on our Staff to work past dormitory regulation hours when the pressure was on. It is to those people we have named and many other unsung souls that we say with deep sincerity, Thank You. 83
