PRESI.DENT'S MESSAGE I certainly want to commend the members of the Senior class and the students from other classes who have served on the yearbook committee. This is a remarkable project, and is in keeping with the spirit and traditions of higher education. I have watched this development with a great deal of interest since it is the first time in many years that the students have undertaken the publishing of a yearbook. It is a student project and is a record of their college life here at Delaware State College. The STATESMAN will have a deep meaning to all members of the Delaware State College Family. It is my sincere desire that with the publication of the STA TESMAN, that this will be the beginning of a yearly tradition. The successful completion of this project certainly indicates a sense of maturity and growth on the part of our students. 7
