Do you know whoi I like best about writing letters to you? No back talk . . . We had our local 4N6 contest o few days ago. What speakers! (You tell 'em, I stutter). On March 15 we had two assemblies—Mr. Deer . . . auntie climax . . . and the Choir and Glee Club (Gee, I wish I could sing). March 16—Tra-la-la . . . Spring Concert by the vocal music department. Spring is really here . . . the time when a young man’s fancy lightly turns to what the girls have been thinking about all winter . . . Guess what?—another forensic contest—league, for experts only . . . They won't let me go . . . You know what that is?—Tough! Joe, I’m going to forecast the rest of the school year for you now so that I can get this letter right off. March 24-April 2 ... A grand, glorious week of vacation, and even the teachers ore sorry to come back, (who wouldn't be!) A juke box dance on the 6th of April. About time! April 7—District Forensic Contest at Whitewater, and you can bet your bottom dollar Dclavan will walk off with some A ratings. April 28—Our instrumentalists are the best in the solo contest, of course. Highlight of the year . . . the Junior Prom on May 4th with Ronald Hickson as king and guess who 5 . . . Dorothy Messerschmidt, os queen. Cute couple, eh! Senior Class Play the 11th of May. Does anyone have any idea whot it's going to be0 May 12-—Marching along together at Whitewater band tournament . . . The 27th of May—Baccalaureate . . . some of us will cry because we will be looking back, but more of us will be smiling because we are looking foreword. May 28—Class night will be a big success as usual ... I predict Ole'' and Buck-et will hold their own that night. The Junior-senior picnic . . . what a wonderful day (May 29)—we hope. May 31—Graduation . . . they finally let us out and it's all over but the shouting! June 2—Horray . . . School's over . . . Well, Joe, I hope you enjoyed this peek at the school year—wish you were here takinc part in it. So long . . . Susie 32
