Business establishments lake inventory to determine the status of the business. A business inventory shows what stock in in demand by the purchasing public or what stock is not in demand, and so is a liability to the business. Goods that do not sell will not be made by the manufacturer nor purchased by the retailer. Dead stock which is on hand will be sold ot a sacrifice or disposed of as soon as possible. Good business dumps the useless and that which proves to be a liability. It increases its stock of useful goods and thereby prospers. Let us be sure that we take periodic inventories to improve our business. Perhaps we have habits, traits of character, attitudes, and interests that are liabilities to us. If so, why do we not eliminate and keep only those qualities that help us to prosper, that are real assets to our own development, and that contribute to the generol welfare of ourselves and our school. We can not afford to keep in stock habits of doing and practices that hinder us individually or os a school. 3
