Homecoming 1980 was the year that everyone participated. The entire building was alive with the spirit necessary to carry us through the week and on into the week-end parties. Homecoming 1980 was the year that we were supposed to Drown the Badgers in Lake Geneva” and Make the Badgers Crawl Back into Their Hole.” Yes. we accomplished these feats by beating the Badgers 7 - 0. Homecoming 1980 was the year that the seniors once again prevailed. They came out ahead after Spirit Week, and kept their lead right on through Field Day Events. Although the freshmen won the float building contest, the seniors won the Spirit Cup. Homecoming 1980 was the year of tourist day, baby bottle guzzling, jello eating (Mark Greidanus 4 year champ), cowboy day. cherry pit spitting, blue and gold day. and tug of war. Homecoming 1980 was the year that was. COUNTER CLOCKWISE Chris Delhey couldn't decide which girl to take to the Homecoming dance The football players take a ride through town hoping to find that special date The band looks good after only two hours of practice .. . And the beat goes on.
