U-Rah, Rah The B-team cheerleaders enjoyed great football and basketball seasons this year. They helped out with all the plans for homecoming week and participated in the pep assemblies. The wrestling cheerleaders worked hard but loved every minute of it this year. They painted signs and posted them throughout the town, supporting the wrestling team in every way. They travelled to many meets with the team, including the state meet where they cheered on our State champ, Tim Carmin. The football season for the varsity cheerleaders proved memorable and wet-due to the rain of four Friday night games in a row. Homecoming brought with it a lot of work, but mostly fun. The town was decorated with banners encouraging the Comet team and warning the Badgers of their impending doom. Breakfast was served to all the varsity football players and coaches before school on the day of the game. Basketball season brought a rush of excitement. Plans were made and carried out for pep assemblies, decoration of the teams' lockers and generally warming up the school to get the team fired up. We had a great time this year and appreciate all the support from the teams, fans, and especially the Brew Crew . VARSITY CHEERLEADERS: Kelly Lubis, Mary Brieger, Eva Holt, Julie Alder, Cass Mullen, Suzette DuCharme, Kim Lubis, MIDDLE: Patty Villalobos. 20 — cheerleading

Thacker Heads Strong Team With a record of 8-3, the 1977-78 Harriers did better than was expected. Jeff Thacker became the premiere runner in the Southern Lakes Conference. The highlight of the season was beating conference and regional champions, Mukwonago, on a cold, wet, and windy day. This made up for the poor post season tournament showing. Since the J. V. .team was also 8-3, next year appears to be another good year with returning team members. - Darrell Hessenthaler I. FRONT ROW: Jeff Thacker, Bob Gruel, Glen Holt, Brian Fagan, Ernie Kocs,Chad Lepper, SECOND ROW: Darrel Hessonthaler, coach; Tom Danielson, Dennis Parr, Ron Lee, Steve Gruel, Dale Vegter, Tom Kawczynskl, Jeff Bond. 22 cross country
