Affectionately named Mr Bones, he carries with him an interesting legend dating back 80 years, He lived a life of danger as a horse thief in Hebron, Illi- nois, finally being shot to death. When nc one claimed his body, the undertaker made him into a skeleton. Mr. Bones ther traveled to a local lodge where he residec for 60 years, becoming a part of the club's initiation procedure. The lodge then dis- covered that by law the skeleton either had to buried, cremated, or donated to an edu- cational institution. Thus he was laid tc rest in a cozy cabinet in room 136. Mr. Landi sponsored many environmental action programs throughout the year con- cerning highway clean-up, the SST, and highway development. Seminars and lecl tures proved to stimulate many active stu dents to help save our environment. l

In the Home Economics Depart- ment, courses were offered in family management and general home eco- nomics ffor boys and girlsj. In addi- tion a new course, consumer educa- tion, prepared students to handle the buying world successfully. Drafting, metals, and architectural drawing are a sampling of other types of classes availabe to students. The third major area under the ap- plied arts were the agriculture class- es.
