The Girls' Athletic Association is happy that Mrs. Berkompas and Miss James arc willing to give their time Tuesdays after school, to supervise this organization. They are the teacher advisers. Last May the GAA executive board (composed of the officers and advisers) nominated girls for this year’s officers. Winning the presidency was Myrtle Klaske. the vice-presidency was filled by Judy Danielson, Sandra Morgan was chosen as secretary, and Rachel Wile-man was given the job of point secretary. This year the girls chose baseball as their fall sport. But the weather became much too chilly for them before the schedule was completed. Winter, not only brought snow and freezing temperatures, but it also brought basketball, to GAA at least. When spring rolled around, the outdoor sports again became popular. — 28 —
