Senior Class Prophecy June 6, 1979 Dear Minnie, Today the Senior Class of 1959 held their 19th annual reunion on the moon. Last year we held it on Mars, but Tom Delaney, Sheriff of Mars, said that Jon Goff, Dick Arenz, Don Hallett, and Randy Schmuck, who all belong to a spacemobile club, were rodding their spacemobiles; and Mars won’t let us hold our reunions there anymore. Jim Morse, the head of the club, said that he can’t understand it! Jerry Borucki, Chief Rocket Launcher for the U. S., said that the moon has a better surface for our type of reunion, anyway. Oh, Minnie, just everyone was there! Jim Merrill, who says ponies are still wonderful and has $5,000,000 to prove it, was there. Barbara Beresh brought her own rocket. It’s a baby blue convertible, and her husband gave it to her. I can't remember his name, but he’s quite well off. With Barb was Donna Scully, who runs a beauty shop exclusively for people with black hair. Diana Reeb, Sue Cohard, Eleanor Nezki, and Gloria Lindloff were with them. Diana is now a Senator in Wisconsin; Sue Cohard, who was Prom Queen our Junior year, works for a big executive in Washington, D. C.; she does nothing but sits on his lap and smile! Eleanor liked playing in the band so much that she now conducts the Philharmonic Orchestra. Gloria is an author now and recently completed a book entitled, How to Catch a Man. Hank Peters was there and he’s now an English teacher at our old Alma Mater. It seems that he wanted to carry on the family tradition. Donna Figahs came in her “Green Beetle” and brought some more of the kids. Among them were Marilyn Hetzel and Happy Bell. Marilyn has left the library and has joined the WAC’s. Happy has taken over the managing of the Chicago Cubs. Donna Johnson took time off from teaching in her school of “Personality and Charm” to come. Margie Hollister, Gale Graves, Anne Sturtevant, Pat O’Connor, Carolyn Mc-Quality, and Barb Meyer came together. They run a snack shop that features Home Cooking. Nellie Love isn’t one of the partners, because she helps her husband in his gas station. Leora Beelman, who runs her own snack shop, the former Dinty Moore’s, doesn’t know how to meet this problem of competition with the other snack shop. I ran into Lois and John Behrens. You know, they're the sensational sister-brother wrestling team. Between matches Lois tells jokes. 26
