It is made up of four officers and representatives from each class and club. Janet Zwieg, Barbara Thiele, Ruby Meyer, Bonnie Boltz, Dale Beardsley, Bonnie Lange, Bill Larson and Bob Anderson attended a county meeting in Whitewater on October 26th. Darien led a discussion on student council projects and their authority. They also attended other discussions at the conference. They were to get new ideas on how to better the student council. A representative from the Welfare Department spoke on the youth survey which is being made throughout the county. She asked us to nominate representatives who would like to work along with the adults on this survey. Each school was to nominate one person to work on each of the eleven committees. This year the student council again directed the homecoming activities. This included the parade, dance and half time activities. The student council conducted the magazine sale this year. The high school was divided into two groups, which tried to out-sell each other. The captainsof these two groups were Hardy Kroeze and Patsy Williams. The two teams brought in a profit of $270.65. The election of the A team cheerleaders was handled by the student council. A pep club wasorganized to arouse the interest of the students in helping to back our team. The pep commission was in charge of these activities. There are four other commissions: social, assembly, finance and noon hour. These commissions axe organized to help in the school program.
