FOREWORD This is the story of Darien High School and its graduating class of 1 955. It gives a complete record of the activities of the year. As we look back through this book we will remember our teachers, classmates, studies and the good times we've had in Darien High School. During our stay we have witnessed many changes. Not only in the school itself but in the teachers, studies, and classmates. When the class of 1955 entered as freshmen; many were in a strange place, and faced new problems. They all met these challenges which prepared them for the future. This class has worked hard and graduated with a good record behind them. They are now ready to build a future--probably with different results. As each class graduates they join a large family of alumni. Many of the alumni keep in contact with the school and return to the social activities. We enjoy having them back and hope this tradition will continue. We have prepared this book so every one can look back through it and remember their wonderful high school days.
