Superintcndenfs Message DEL-ARIJO MESSAGE 1971 - 72 At Delano High School, as at other schools, moods are as many and as varied as the people that make up the school. Each of us each day react to the weather, to one another and to our tasks. From this complex interaction between us as individuals and our physical and social environment and among us, one with another, springs our feeling about life and our place in it. For its part, the people of our school district, acting through their elected representa- tives of the Governing Board, have attempted to pro- vide a general school setting that is attractive as well as safe, and comfortable as well as efficient as a place to learn. In addition, the people of our school district have attempted to provide employees who take pride in trying to keep our classrooms and campus clean and all of our complicated machinery working. Most of all, there has been a continuing effort in providing students with useful tools - the books, films, maps, sound tapes, and paper -with which to learn and in providing well-prepared, en- thusiastic teachers who are dedicated to the task of helping students learn and to achieve the excellence of which they are capable. It is my hope that this enthusiasm for learning and this dedication to the attempt to achieve excellence will be the prevailing mood with which our school is identified as gradu- ates remember their days as students of Delano High gawk Sql Dr. Frank E. Dyer District Superintendent and Principal School. Dr. Frank Dyer is serving his tenth year as DHS Superintendent. Mrs. Margie Brumley, private secretary to the Su- perintendent, has just completed twelve years of ser- vice as executive secretary in the district. In her position she assists the Superintendent and also acts as credentials technician. Her duties are many and, although she is kept busy, it is evident she is a happy, enthusiastic employee.
