COU ELOR It is the job of the counselors to make certain that every student in the school is get- ting maximum benefit from his high school years. This is accomplished by arranging a student's classes to suit his interests and a- bilities, by co-o erating with the PTA to pro- vide needy studrents with clothing and lunch money, and by keeping a complete record of each student's high school performance. The dean of counselors and the senior counselor have the extra task of helping the graduating class prepare for the change from high school to college or to a job. The counseling office maintains a vocational library whose material is available to students upon request, and in- terested students can obtain applications for dozens of fine scholarships from the dean of counseling.
