Your teachers and your students hold you in high regard. We like you as a person, for you are quick of wit, articulate, personable, and humanly warm and understanding. We admire you for many qualities, all of which make you a strong leader for our school--your intelligence, your interest in all facets of our activities and our learning, your high standards of professional and personal excellence, your dedication to the job of making and keeping Delano High School second to none. When a visitor comes to our school and expresses a wish to be taken to our leader, we do so with alacrity and great pride, We regret that your job as our superintendent is turning your hair gray much too soon, but every gray hair is, in a way, a badge of honor and a symbol of the sincerity and success with which you meet your responsibilities.
