Hall, advisor 2admy.7f To you we dedicate this 1963 DEL-ANO Although he has been teaching at DHS for only four years, Mr. Hall in that short space of time has captured the hearts of students and faculty alike with his warmth and wonderful sense of humor. For his service as a teacher, a club advisor, and a DEL-ANO advisor, we dedicate this yearbook to our own-Roberto. M., ,,,,LW,L , Unknowlingly our advisor posed for this candid picture of his direction of his own yearbook. Quite an active family man, Mr. Hall poses with his wife Marcie, and the five little Halls. One of Mr. Hall's famous and favorite hobbies is working with guns. Here he displays a gun rack which he has made. At this time the staff would like to thank everyone who made the secrecy of this dedication possible, especially Mrs. Hall, Mr. Miles Rider, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dyer, and Mirro-Graphic Yearbooks. 1 MIKE HENNESSEE Death, be not proud, though some have called thee Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so: For those whom thou think'st thou dost not overthrow Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me. 4 745k f4c4alemc1':4 A af .nf ! Beginning with the per- formance of a Greek Line Dance by sev- eral members of the class during the freshman year, a iname was born, and it has grown since then to mean many things. We give you the GREEKS, the class of 1963. In all areas of competition this group has excelled. During its two years of ex- istence, the Homecoming bonfire compe- tition has been copped by this class. As freshmen, the class won first place in the Homecoming parade car division and every year since has taken sweepstakes honors in the float division. Radovich i , ' Under the guidance of their class counselor and class advisors, Mr. Harold Benno, Mr. Lee Lowry and Mr. Jack Haehl respectively, the junior class had a very successful year. With the help of their class officers who were Danny Williams, president, Cathy Parsons, vice-president, Jana Hamilton, secretary, and Cheryl Barnard, treasurer, the class sponsored the first after-game dances during foot- ball and basketball seasons. Both proved to be very successful. Later in the year they sponsored a car wash -., up Q . ,Q i ., from which all of the proceeds went to the annual Junior- Senior Banquet and Junior-Senior Prom which is given by the iuniors in honor of the senior class. Tigers in Orbit was this year's theme for the annual Homecoming festivities. In it the iuniors entered a very attractive float which won high honors. Cathy Parsons and Sherral Edson were chosen as Homecoming Princesses. Cathy also was sponsored by the Junior Class to repre- sent it for the first time as a DEL-ANO Queen candidate. G. When thoroughly orientated with the aid of special assemblies, counseling, the new student handbook, and regular Fresh-Orientation classes, the lively frosh set out to fill their high school years with fun and study. As their first social event of the year, the freshmen at- tended the Howdy Hop sponsored by the Student As- sociation. Later in the year they sponsored after-game dances during the football and basketball seasons. Under the leadership of Mike Gonzales, president, Loretta Massey, vice-president, Janice Hannigan, secretary, and Jim Redger, treasurer, the freshmen later had a car wash to boost their class treasury.
