On March 20 the concert included four solo performances. Sue Hymas played the piano. Don Craig soloed on the clarinet and Judy Cole the piccolo. David Givson played the bassoon. The other concert of the year was on April the 17th. At the first of the year the drum major and the twirlers were selected. These offices were appointed by Mr. Marion Busby, the band director. Sophomore Bill Whitener, last year's drum major, held the of- fice again this year. The twirlers were Judy Cole, Sandy Longoria, Carla Schmidt and Carolyn Konze. Sally Shaw puts her lesson slip into the box to record the hours that she has received for lessons.
