Black Yea Robstown on white plaster. - gov, 23 --Music club organized. Dr. Farley sponsor, Mixed chorus made its first appearance of the year at the'Y. M. C. A.bui1ding for Vesper Services. Said the boys: Ulf there's going to be any cadets there, I'm not going.H I Nov, 24 Say beg he'd be --Cruiser chicken dinner for advertising participants got off with a inning. Doc McGregor snapped one picture after Mr. Kelly claimed picking chicken out of his ears for a week, Advertising campaign total--3550. Very good. Nov, 25 --Foghorn dinner at Shoops. Ann Colby, Mrs. Creighton, and Mrs. Littlethoroughlyenjoyed the Hstag?H dinner. Foghorn girls, you don't know wh at you missed. Nggg-QQ--J. C, girls still gabbing about the super-special time they had at the Cadet Pool dance Saturday night. No wonder it was fung there weren't enough girls to go around! Dec, 1--Grind begins again. Bob Price, in a typical holiday mood, re- marked: HI dont see why we don't go to school one day a week and sleep the other six.n Deg,-2--Textile girls moan over their amateur attempts at crocheting. Red Maskers decide to cheese in on Ars Vestians and sell candy on Thursday to raise money for a Christmas dance. Deg, 3--Murder trial in room 10: weeping widows, hysterical ex-convicts, fainting defendants, take the stand as clever lawyers grill them. But don't be too startledg it's only the try-outs for the Red Mask play. Dec, 4--Lots of moans and groans around the campus. Reason: Red Mask candy sale in full swing. Results: well, you know. Dgg 5- traded Dec I 6 cards . Deg, 8- radios In Congress to Dec, 9--Mrs and Mexican u fantastic at Bertha Lacey's studio thatg Deg,-lg--Many Junior College music streets to the high school to hear -Business men in the making--Frank Hankins and James Kizziar nlizziesn even-up. We wonder who got gipped? Colleen Ivey, Edith Haynie, Richard Davis busy making Christmas Proceeds go to the Spanish Club. Students shocked to hear that Japan had attacked Pearl Harbor. World events crowd out school studies as students group around room 10 and ll students assemble to hear the president ask declare war on Japan. members started making native Spanish our teachers tripping the light --we can't let them get ahead of us like . Kerr and Spanish Club costumes. Discovered: -lovers waded through our Corpus Christi the Houston Symphony Orchestra. CIt was well worth ith. neg, ll--History and zoo classes listened to Congress declare war on Germany and Italy. Despite war, Spanish Club had their annual Christmas party. Dec, 12--Student directories came out. Physics class thought Japs were coming when a series of fireworks were set off near school. Dgg, 13--It takes nine years to complete all the courses offered by this Junior College, Swede figures the same time limit, just taking trig and algebra Dec, 15--Bill of Rights assembly: after a brief introduction by Dr. Hale, Bertrand Arbuckle and Patty Holder gave a dialogue on the Bill of Rights.

New members were initiated Cand Howb before dance. Then everyone enjoyed dancing, cookies, and punch. Prizes for the best costumes were taken by the red devil CMarian Mathisj and by the skleton CGeorge Waltonj. QQL4-QQ--Juanita Liggett seen peddling cookies left over from last night's dance-to the neighbors. Poor neighbors. Lots of red question marks seen around school. Reason--Mystery Club initiation last night. Hggggl--Seen in shorthand, chivalrous Mr. Little picking up the contents of Rosemary Walker's purse. CLipstick, powder, beads, rouge, pencil, fountain pen, and handkerchiefsh. Nov, 3--Many wings seen flying about. Reason: cadet dance the night before. gov, 4--Red Maskers met that evening, almost fought over the question of bringing outside dates to the Christmas Dance, watched a skit, heard a reading, and finally hurried home to cram for tomorrow's exams. Hoy, 5--Dr. Farley's translation of Chaucer was interrupted by a student: Dr. Farley, are you Eng1ish?H Dr. Farley: UNO, why?H Student: nWe1l, you translate Chaucer so well.U Dr. Farley: HThat's the first time anyone accused me of being a relic from the Middle Ages.n Ngy, 6--One of our sophomore students, Sarah Ann Crider, was injured in an automobile accident. Earl Shisler gave her mother, who was also hurt, a blood transfusion. Hoy, 1--Cruiser advertising campaign got started with Greek Zampikos as manager. Goad this year is 3700. Cwhewh. Hoy, 8--Enrollment this year is 340-225 in day school and 115 in night school. That's an increase over last year's enrollment. Lorene Pouncey dropping in late to classes--reason: Mrs. Agee sick. Hoy, LQ--Student council made plans for formal dance. Lots of happy faces seen on this Monday, usually a day of gloom. Reason: tomorrow is Armistice Day--a holiday. Egg,-ll--Students spent the day picnicing, fishing, and some actually studied!!! Hog, 12--Just found out Jimmie Webb's real name is James Arnold Webb, Jr, and he spells Jimmie with an ie because he thought girls spelled theirs with ye. Nov, 13--Quiz program at Spanish 'Club Social. The winner, Richard Davis, received a box of candy. A Hoy, lg--Girls got to wear their evening dresses at the Student Council Dance, first formal of year. The dance became a hen-party when all the boys went outside to congratulate Irving Liggett on his birthday--in the usual manner. . Ngy, 15--Scene: press room on deadline day: Waggener and Bowman lustily singing opera, or something--Pouncey and Colby swapping Jokes--Fore begging for copy--and Sanchez offering none. Hoy. 11--Cruiser advertising campaign--Jewel Rae Nelson's team taking lead. Alberta Praeger, a member of that team, bringing in more ads than anyone else. A very noisy game of football--with a coca cola glass as the ball-- was played on the front lawn until Dean Harvin appeared. Then both noise and glass disappeared. Hg1,,lQ--Sarah Ann Crider came back to school. Pauncho had a big smile on his teeth, oh, beg pardon, his face. Could it have been to show off his new teeth. Nov, 19--Creative writing club organized.

Qgg, 6--Everyone praying for Robstown's SHOW, I Jan, 7--Coldest day yet, Miss May getting gray completing with mumps, the draft, colds, and jobs for her actors and actresses time. Jan, 8--Spanish Club decided to give Cabaret Dance in the new building. Question: Who started the fire in Thursday chemistry lab? Whose experiment was not successful? Jan, 9--Just found out that a certain Kay 0'Neil, who broadcasts over the radio is our own Catherine Neely. Jan, lO--Foghorn having editor troubles agog then Barbara Harrison, Roger Fore, became the editors. Then Bruce dropped Frank, because of his work, resigned as Roger Fore and Barbara Harrison are now Jag, ll--Flash: Mae Dee Creager became but she sure looked like one after Miss how to make-up an actor OH her. lgg, 12--Navy personnel Nell Penn. lgg, 13--Foghorn staff, have enough copy to put out a paper. Ann Colby re Frank Hankins, out and joined editor, but he the co-editors an old woman. May had finish signed about a month and Bruce Patton the marines, and is still a reporter. Well, not really, ed demonstrating Ctwo cute cadetsj seen on campus with Mary and after working all afternoon, d iscovered they didn't Jan. 14--Even with exams coming up, college girls led by Hedrick busy practicing their dance routine for the Lion's Club Minstrel. Jgg, 15--Red Mask play--given in the courthouse, Karen Andre CCatherine Neelyj found not guilty. Jan, 16--Verdict tonight: guilty. Orchids to Miss May and her well- chosen cast for two splendid performances. J. C. Vikings defeated San Antonio Junior College team 28 to 22. lag, 11--Textile girls spent the morning dyeing--their head scarfs. Vikings drop game to Victoria Junior College 38 to 20. Joe Schnitz joined the married men. lgg,-12--Many relieved sighs unburdened as sophs turn in their government term themes, Tennis team has first meeting with Coach Steakley. Jan, 20--Charles Wells, world-journalist, spoke to student body.' Everyone agreed that he was the best speaker we have had so far this year. lgg, 21--Mr. Jones lectured to Sigma Epsilon. Shorty Rouse and Earl Shisler did fancy rug-cutting steps in activity period while Jerks swung Out. Miss May persuaded to go to the show with 4 boys--Rossi, Nolan, Swede, and Sullivan. A Jag, 22--Mr. Kelly's students introduced to the halogen family: the widow halogen with her four daughers: Flourine, the dizzy blond, Chlorine, green with envy of her sister, Bromine, the red head, and Iodine, the fat brunette
