l is for apple. Many times in our society, which is devoted to the leisure hour, we forget about the forms of mental discipline necessary to achieve this level of social ease. Many students spend their entire highschool career looking for a good time. But that is not what high school is all about. Of course, school spirit, pride, and en- thusiasm are vital parts of a healthy high school, but the element that separates the high schools from the play schools is whether or not its graduates are prepared to lead a productive lite. At Del City, many opportunities are provided for students to advance themselves in scholarship, leadership, and sportsmanship. Those who take advantage of these opportunities are truly fortunate. Those who stand in the shadows must settle the score with their own conscience. The pictures on these pages are not given as examples of personalities, but rather as examples of opportunities. tv 15.
