The school year was a cavalcade of happenings. Bright-eyed sophomores stepped through the school doorways, eagerly waiting to sense the newness of their surroundings. Juniors, feeling at ease, walked the carpeted halls in happiness. Seniors, with less than a year left, sighed and hoped for an unforgettable school year. Their hopes were answered quickly. The first signs were shown in extrava- gant display. The young Eagle football team, scorned by the media in the preseason poll, ripped through the gridiron season, establishing them- selves as a perennial power. The band worked diligently each morning, to produce an unsurpassable performance of musical ingenuity. The year seemed perfect - and it was. The school year was just a part of an eventful year. America's bicentennial celebration helped cap off one of the most illustrious occasions in the short life of Del City, Oklahoma. The 1975-76 school year coincided smoothly with the celebration of our country's independence. Continually, we must fight setbacks and push onward. Our pursuit of the seeds of life can only blossom through our pride and integrity. Our country will undoub- tedly remain as a land where the rich and the poor can live in the hands of democracy, progressing forward with the changes of today, inserting them into tomorrow. Our future looks bright, and it will be. ABOVE RIGHT: Oklahoma City, as seen through the fountains of the Rob- ert S. Kerr Park.
