Teams S how Their Abilit As expected, Del Campo's Flag Team, along with the Drill Team, hardly got the recognition they deserved. Many hours were spent practicing and rearranging routines for the numerous competitions, parades, and half time shows in which they performed. For the first time, the Flag Team brought a first place trophy to Del Campo from the VVoodland Christmas Parade. They also performed on national television at the Camellia Bowl this year. Flag twirlers: Kendra Whitehead, Nancy Crosby- Head, Linn Tyer, Vereda Sivard, Glynis Butler, and Charlotte Brekke. Faculty advisor: Larry Gilliland. lr'

66 99 Talented . . . 'llhe majorettes, drum major, spirit eluh and rally eluh are the moving parts that generate our school spirit. 'llhev're very much involved in their Work and very dedicated. 'llhe spirit eluh consisted mostly of under elassmen girls, and the rally ehih upperelassmen. They attended all games and rallies with a spirit which kindled the like in the student audience. The majorettes Kim Kviek-Head, toph-ft, Lisa Mahoney, top middle, and 'liraey Stephens, bottom right put in many hours over the summer and during sehool fra .f -.,.L,w,. ., :5 '4li? ' .L , A ,-L, Q N' ff-v rw to perfect their involved routines. It paid off when they captured first place at the Woodland Christmas Parade. The major eoneern of a drum major is the hand, and Dt-I Campo's drum major, Roh Diamond, has certainly done his joh in leading the hand through parades, competitions, and half time shows. According to Roh, it takes many hours of practice, and everyone witnessed the results as he performed. Larry Gilliland was faculty advisor for the majorettes and drum major. 'W
