sing our: A new change came to the music department this year in the form of a new music director, Mr. Paul Merriam. The Madrigal Choir from last year became the Del Campo Singers, performing in festivals, concerts and benefits with the jazz-Rock Band. During Christmas time they performed at the Sacramento lnn, El Camino Convalescent Home, the Rotary Club, they sang with the Concert Choir at Cal Expo and the K Street Mall. All the choirs, including the Girls Choir, came together and performed in the Fall Concert Christmas Concert, Pops Concert, and Spring Concert. The Musical was a joint effort between the music department and the drama department, in which many members of all the choirs participated. To raise money for needs of the music department and their spring choir trip they sold Halloween Insurance in October, they sold Poster Stationery and Candy Bars, and they charged admission for their concerts. A Place To Speak Out Members ofthe Debate Club met almost every week this year to practice for competition. They formed teams of two to compete and according to skill were ranked as either novice, junior varsity, or varsity. Drama Trauma Funtime The Drama Club started the year with a calender sale which lasted through Club's purpose was to get people involved in drama and maybe encourage October and November. Among their other money raising projects they periodically had bake sales, sucker sales, and junk sales at the Roseville Auction. The money they earned went towards payment of materials needed in the drama department, for drama scholarships, and for field trips. The them to further explore the field. Many of the members were in the school plays. Others worked hard on the construction of all the sets and other facets of the productions. One activity the club attended was an American Film Theater Series, and they ended the year with a trip to San Francisco to see plays.
