Boys' State Boy's State is an annual week-long participation of students representing high-schools from all over each state in a state government based program. Senior, Steve Sugar, was chosen from among many other Uel Campo students to repre- sent D.C. at the last Boyds State, held at Sac State in june of last summer. Almost one thousand boys attended. The first five days were spent determining the roles each student would take. Campaigns and elections were held to determine the city, county, and state officers. The last two days were devoted to the conducting of business in a joint- role effort. Steve was elected State Assem' blymanu and felt that Boyls State was very worthwhile and encouraged students with an interest in government and politics to look into possibilities. S.A.C.
