Junior Varsit Capturing the C.V.C. title this year was surprisingly easy for the J.V. An awesome attack that often beat opponents by twenty points or more was led by Bob lVIcKone, Kurt Van Tassel, john Van Matre, Greg Jeffrey, and Ken Ledbetter. Latecomer Mike Green set up teammates' shots with his sparkling passing. Kurt Van Tassel and John Van Matre supplied the long outside shots while Bob McKone and Ken Ledbetter Sweeps C. V. C. provided hackboard brawn. Greg Jeffrey played a fine all-around game. Often a nonstarter would score more points than a starter. Fine substitute shooters were Jim Rodine and Stan Cramer. Glen Penko and Paul Bradford ably assisted the starters with fine rebounding and defense. Garth Ellis and Craig Tueller provided hustle and defense. S ophs Fourth Hurt by the lifting of the top five sophomore basketball players to the the sophomore team struggled into fourth with a six win-eight loss slate. Although this record is a poor one for a Del Campo team, the soph team played some fine basketball. Ron Dickinson, Brian VVirt, and Mark Skalender pounded the backboards for the Cougars. The outside shooting touch was delivered by George Rodine, Brian Sohl, and John David. ' Coach Harry Kawahata often sent John Martin and Brian Sohl to spell the regulars. jeff Rabe, Frank Wooden, Todd Nyman, Mitch Gibson, and Mike Nlorton provided a backup crew.
