Basketball '73 Although it appeared dim that Del Campo would have a basketball homecoming because of lack of help, several dedicated students worked hard to finally pull it off. Preceded by a well- planned spirit week of varied activities including a slave sale where various people were sold benefiting Block D.C., and a beard growing contest where some guys were shaved at the beginning ofthe Week and judged by Bev Barr at the rally which was won by junior Greg Henson. The week was rounded out with a Basketball Boogie. Selected royalty included Queen Sue Fris and King Mike Disney and court: Seniors Katy Peterson, Bev Barr, Bruce Wirt, Bob Nunes, Juniors Gina Rizzo and Jeff Fisher, Sophomores Kathy Martin and Eric Struck, and Freshmen Kathey Hoffman and John David.

On December fourteenth Del Campo was privileged to view McCrary , a top notch rock group with a professional sound that delighted itys audience. They played many favorites and showed a unique style that had something for everybody in the instruments and songs used. Also on hand at this assembly were Del Campo's own- the songleaders and cheerleaders and coaeh McCullough to encourage spirit and an invitation to the game.
