The Singles Rock DHS The Senior Class has been involved in many types of music: orchestra, concert band, jazz band, choir, and, of course, The Singles. The Singles is a rock band which plays a variety of music from the '6O's and early '7O's. Much of the music played by this group are songs by The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Kinks. The band has had many name changes during their. career. They began as The Discords, changed to the Suburbs, became Club Aluminum, and switched to their present name of The Singles. I I Leader of the band and drummer Shane Spahr, and keyboards player Lary lppolito are both seniors and key members of this group. Spahr has been drumming for four years with the band. lppolito has recently taken up keyboards in order to give the band a wider selection of music. With most of the members of the Singles graduating this year, what isthe fate of the band? Will they stay together, will they find new members, will they disband, or will they relocate? Only time will tell. 5 Members of the Singles are, top, Brian Halverson, Lary lppollto, Tom Clark, bottom, Craig Chesler, and Shane Spahr. -Q ITA KIMBERLY ANN ISAACS Hi-teens, 15 French Club, 1: H.E.R.O., 45 Barblet Staff, 4: Kalibre, 4.
