NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The DeKalb Township High School Chapter of the National Honor Society was installed in 1925. The object of the society is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service. to promote helpful leadership, and to encourage the development of character. In order to be eligible for mem- bership, the candidate must be in the upper third of his class in scholarship. Superior scholarship alone will not guarantee membership. A student must have the other requirements of character, leadership, and service. Not more than fifteen percent of the entire class may be elected to membership.
