. . shall we dance? . .. DEFIANCE 7-LIBERTY CENTER 7 A 7 to 7 tie with Liberty Center finished the Bulldogs' 1954 NWOL schedule. Tony Corressel was the work horse for Defiance by carrying the pigsllin on almost every other play, but little Ray Hussey came up with the big 21-yard sprint that put the Bulldogs back in the game. Pelolx's first conversion try was no good, but Liberty was offside and he booted the second through the uprights. DEFIANCE O-TOLEDO MACOMBER 41 A smooth-running offense and a hard charging defense led Ma- comber to o 41-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The Craftsmen scored six touchdowns and added a safety in the waning moments while the Bulldogs were having trouble getting a first down. DEFIANCE 26-BUCYRUS 14 Ray Hussey, Bob Cameron, Norm Baldwin, and Gary Mix all scored touchdowns as Defiance closed its 1954 football schedule with o strong 26-14 victory over Bucyrus. Hussey also passed to Norm Baldwin for the Bulldogs' first touchdown pass of the yeor. Pelolx kicked two points after the touchdowns. The Defiance Bulldogs finished the season with a record of three wins, five losses, and one tie. . tim-ber-r-r-rr! . . . Leonord is caught from behind . . .

DEFIANCE 56-VAN WERT 49 Trailing by as much as eleven paints midway in the first half, the Bulldogs rallied to dump Van Wert's Cougars 56-49. DEFIANCE 57-BRYAN 60 A red hot Bryan team dumped the Bulldogs for the first time in four games as the Bears won 60-57 in a real thriller.
