.SJl0orf5man5Aiya eroonihezl . . THE COACHES Ohio University claims the athletic director and head football coach, Rex Burke, as one of its alumni. After graduation, he became a member of the coaching squad at his Alma Mater. Before coming to DHS, he coached at Paulding, Ayersville, and Napoleon. During the weeks of training and team play, Mr. Burke is as- sisted by Don Hampshire, line coach. Hampshire's directions from the bench led the baseball squad through two consecutive seasons without a league defeat. Head basketball coach Max Gecowets has in five years produced a squad of cagers that definitely threaten all competition in this area. This year the Bulldogs ended the season with a record of 17 wins and 4 defeats. Two of these defeats were by a total of only 3 points. Harold Palmer fills the important post of faculty manager of athletics and in this capacity coordinates much of the work of the rest of the coaching staff which includes: Charles Wahl, head track coach, who doubles as the freshman and junior high football coach during the fall, Charles Pixler, freshman basketball coach and assistant football and track coach, Russell Emans, assistant baseball coach, and Robert Rex, junior high football and reserve basketball coach. 100 . . . now, we'll run it this way . . .
