PHESE TI I3 THE 1953 PANUHAMA This year the name of the Defiance High School yearbook has been changed from The Defiance to The Panorama. This change was made because it was generally felt that the year- book needed a more significant title. In a contest students were asked to submit names. Later the subscribers to the annual voted on a name. The title, Panorama, suggesting an all-over View of the school year, submitted by Philip Myers, a Senior, received the highest number of votes. It is hoped that this first issue of The Panorama will be the first in a long series of yearbooks depicting the life at Defiance High School both in and out of the classrooms. 2
