Q o Q I was just walking downthe street, thinking of my dental appointment with Dr. Gerald Koerber, O.W.P. fopen wide pleasej when suddenly, coming around the corner in a new Dee Brown Roadster was none other than Bebe run quick or get hit Arend. After much coaxing on her part and a lot of courage on mine, I finally did proceed to get in and ride around town with her. Well, we no sooner got started when a cop, namely Bill Thieroff, stopped us. I'm sorry, he said in his deep masculine voice, you'll have to stop. There's a parade coming down the street. So we stopped and got out to watch. While waiting for the parade we could see across the street from us the studio of Rita Hewitt, vocal instructor. Some of her ardent pupils are Betty Bauer, Joanne Gessner, Anna Bond, Bev Fitzenrider, and Mary Lero. And, oh look, there's Huberta Iohnsonbaugh and her husband, Dick Smith, with little Dickie, Jr. Isn't he cute? Over there's Mary Maney, the ballet instructor for the .To Doerfner Dancing School. Iwas talking to Mary the other day and she says her most promising pupil is Dick Squire. Dick always was light on his feet. Well, here comes the band! Ah such sweet music as these Lee Ann Wilhelm Bassoon Blowers put forth! Ruth Harmon, Teney Schac'kow, Luetta Brandt, Nan Fauth, and Dorothy Trubey are all members ofthis swell band. Why, lookie there. There's Bernie Boff on the big bass drum. Gee, he looks funny up there! The music seems to be getting louder. Oh, I see why now. Here comes Bonnie Miller. Bonnie has just won a prize for being able to play the drum so loudly. Her prize--one day in jail for disturbing the peace--the peace in this case being Police Commissioner Charlie Barber who was awakened from his snooze by the noise. Bonnie seems to have enjoyed her stay there because she was able to catch up on some of her reading. Her latest collections are: How to Eat and Still Stay Slim by Sally Skees. Some of Miss Skees' efficient staff members are Marilyn Compo, Anna Daft, Marlene Goldenetz, Marilyn Bowers, and Barb Spangler. Another interesting book is Learn to Drive in Ten Easy Lessons by the Great Gerry Reid. Ruth Snyder has become known to the reading world through her book Things to do While in the Hospital. This is a follow-up of Gerry's book. Now to get back to the parade. I wish that gpg: X lady would remove her hat. I can't see around in it much less over it. She's turning her head.
