- FADS - Trends A1 ol-is New fads and fashions hit DHS like a storm this year with the increasing popularity of punk. Punk hairstyles were seen all around Deerfield, and it was no longer rare to see guys with a pierced ear or two. Another phenomenon to hit DHS was the absolutely adorable Cabbage Patch Doll. Almost every student dreamed of owning his or her very own Cabage Patch Kid with a shrivelled plastic face. Along with these dolls, the new cordless space phones were high up on holiday lists. The party game of the year could only be Trivial Pursuits. DHS students were naturally great players thanks to their great knowledge and comprehension of trivial matters. The last fad to hit DHS was video rock. Seeing favorite songs creatively put on the T.V. screen was an exciting way to experience music. The music of Michael Jackson, the Police, Culture Club, and David Bowie were all big hits this year.
