gsm Q . F. Boppin' Back To The 50's Deerfield High School rocked as the annual 50 s Day rolled along. Slick greasers and ponytailed chicks with a lot of 5O's spirit went on the loose during school while rock 'n' roll music played over the intercom between periods to set the atmosphere forthe main attraction ofthe day -the sock hop. This year's Sock Hop. held in the exhibition gym, featured alive band that knew what 50's and 7O's music was all about. The evening ended with an excellent show by those who entered the jitterbug contest. Upper right: Dave Devine, John Crowley, Bob Ely, Jon Flaxman. and Mike Cole form a kickline at the dance. Above: Terry Redmond poses for Jeff Ernst. Right: Karen Anver does more than the basic jitterbug. 24 SOCK HOP its .- .,. ,tX. , 1 P 1 . ... 1 is S .1 S393- 1 2 l 1 1 l l
