SEPTEMBER School begins with half of a day. Outraged seniors discover they don't have a senior cafeteria. First pep rally. Senior class officer elections, this time serious. Nominations for Homecoming Oueen and Court First home football game Cwe wonj Smile Csix timesj - senior pic- tures are taken. First bake sale of the year, AFS raises 1530. Yom Kippur - everyone gets off of school. French Club picnic. OCTOBER Underclassmen pictures begin. Happy seniors regain senior cafeteria, with a warning to keep it clean. AFS Open House - come meet Barb and Aud. Homecoming Queen is electedg Second annual powder-puff football game, the class of '75 loses again. Warrior Weekend begins - Rah! Columbus Day, no school. YES Teach-ln. Pick up that trash! Deerfield tries out Shakespeare as A Midsummer's Night's Dreamuopens. Milk prices go down to 64: 3 Coke goes upto 206. Zebras. martians, and clowns appear Cit's Halloweenll NOVEMBER First Frosh Fun Night Deerfield enters the lst state football play-offs and the whole school gets out early to watch us lose. 50's Day and Sock Hop spon- sored by Student Council Calendar Of Events 26 28 2 6 9 10 15 19 23 6 Z1 23 28 1 12 14 17 24 28 Fall Sports Awards Night, the football team decides once again to give no Most Valuable Player Award because the whole team was so good. Turkey Day DECEMBER Student Council Toys for Tots drive begins. Girls plan to raid Varsity Club meeting, but change their minds. A Hannukah NHS Induction Ceremony - congratulations are in order A Cappella and Madrigal and Orchestra perform for the holi- days. Faculty Christmas party com- plete with Santa himself. Christmas vacation begins - two weeks of holiday rest JANUARY First day of school in 1975. New three-day semester exam period Varsity Club Fun Night - turnout is so poor that Coke is given away just to get rid of it. Semester Graduation - Mr. Benson receives a soul hand- shake. 1 l Back To Books Getting up early and goingfora number, then settling down for a long morning or zooming off to the bakery for breakfast. Coming back it's timefor meeting kids for the first time all summer to whom the last school day we said, We'll get together this summer, spending all our hard earned summer cash on a record-high priced earth science book and an armload of English books.
